Experience:
Jim’s 30 year business career included an early start in B2B Engineered Equipment Sales where successful performance led to advancement and leadership over a Fortune 500 Company user sales team. The User Sales Organization included all outside sales, order engineering, customer service and sales administration functions. Sales strategy development, expertise with a variety of professional selling skills and the demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop cross-functional teams contributed to Jim’s expanding responsibilities into Operations.
As General Manager of Operations and Sales for an industry leading manufacturer, Jim developed the skills necessary to successfully manage a multi-site manufacturing and service organization while continuing to hold full accountability for sales execution and growth. Jim’s role as GM included responsibility for a diverse staff across all functions giving Jim solid hands on experience in leading multiple levels of management across labor, engineering, administration and sales.
After 20 plus years of the Fortune 500 global business environment, Jim accepted the role of President for a regional construction equipment retail business. Serving as President offered a great opportunity to see the impact of growing sales and refining operational costs up close and personal. Financial management and working directly with the shareholders while watching over every function gave Jim another level of business leadership experience critical to helping entrepreneurs grow their own businesses.
Jim’s career has developed his skills as a generalist experienced in every facet of business leadership. With a deep passion for developing effective strategic plans and seeing plans through execution, Jim provides the client easy access to solid experience and coaching that empowers business owners for healthy business growth.
Now as an Owner / Business Coach of his own business, Jim works with a variety a business people and industries. On a more personal note… Jim has been married to his wife and business partner, Sue, for 30 years and they have three children and one grandchild. Jim has served the church in a variety of ways including Ruling Elder and Worship Musician. After God and family, Jim loves guitars and wiener dogs.
