In God’s Kingdom, everything is about love. Loving Him and others. Yet, we live in the world. How do we balance a God of love and a world that is not-so-much love all of the time? And how does our work fit into this equation of love?
At the core, I feel like we need to remember that all of our work is to help others to know Jesus. And, to embrace God’s plan to get His message of His son to all nations…through people…which is you and I. This means that we always have work to do.
Although it is our responsibility to share Jesus with others who do not know Him, we all have our own path and style. Our winding, distracted path can’t be an excuse for not sharing. We can’t arbitrarily accept that we are uncomfortable sharing so our path isn’t as clear and direct. That isn’t a path; it is an excuse.
One I have probably used, and definitely heard more times than I can count.
The comfort is that in God’s grace He can use us in our trepidation as well as use those who are bold and willing. All we have to do is trust and obey.
Amen, God is Good!
Great reminder, and a gentle but needed sting about our failure to witness. Love your blogs- Eddie
Thanks Eddie! You are always so encouraging!
An important and necessary reminder that the Great Commission is given to all of us. He always finds strength in our weakness. Maybe the best way to begin is to live the uncommon life that causes others to take note and ask why we are so different. Love them in unexpected ways.
I agree Les…it is a journey. I pray to be a light, but always worry that I am still just ordinary. Thanks for your encouragement.
