Is It Obvious That You Are OPEN for Business?

Driving down the street can your open sign be seen from the distance? Do you have an open sign? When someone enters your business space, the place you hung your shingle, is it full? Full of whatever you sell….if inventory, are you well stocked?

If your business is internet based, is your site relevant? Does it match your current business model and services? Is pricing up to date? If you write a blog has it been updated this week, or month or year?

This may not feel like marketing, but it is. People need to know that you are in business and it doesn’t take long for a customer to move on if:

* the events on your site haven’t been updated since 2010.
* the inventory on the shelves at your store have been spread out to one deep so that the spaces aren’t bare.
* or, your hours of operations are shrinking so much that when your potential target customer drives by you always look closed.

People are social creatures. They want to buy stuff that other people want. They hangout where other people are talking about. And their attention span is short. Make sure they know you are OPEN for business!
