Leader or Personal Producer?

Mar 31, 2011, Written by Sue Miley

Are you a leader or a personal producer?  They are both good…but do you know which you are?

I think it is important to contemplate and figure out.  Here is my post on how I figured it out for myself – it was brutal!

Personal producers focus more on the work they are cranking out than what their team is producing.
Personal producers have peers and bosses who love them.  Why?  Because they are supporting and producing for these people.

Subordinates may not be feeling the love.  They are not given direction, support or motivation from their “personal producer” bosses.

Leaders will get more accomplished through others than they can produce on their own.  They will guide, mentor and lead others, both personal producers and leaders, to new places.
We need both.

Both are good.

But not knowing what you are and not embracing that….can produce negative results.

Think about it.  Contemplate it.  Decide.  Make changes accordingly!
