Sharing a Richard Branson Interview by Gail Lynne Goodwin

Dec 1, 2009, Written by Sue Miley

I follow a very inspirational lady on Twitter named Gail Lynne Goodwin who has a wonderful website www.inspiremetoday.com. She recently interviewed Sir Richard Branson and summarized the Top Ten Things she learned.  Considering he has started eight different billion dollar businesses most small business owners may find his insights interesting.  I know many of you aren’t on Twitter so I wanted to share the link here:
The Top Ten Things I Learned from Sir Richard Branson by Gail Lynne Goodwin

The one quote that stood out to me:

Excerpt from Gail’s post:

Many never say “Yes” or take the first step because of fear of failure. According to Richard, “There’s no way that you can create a lot of successful businesses and not have failures on the way. If you’re afraid of failure, you’re not going to create anything.”

He goes on to say that we need to just pick ourselves up from failure and go on to the next thing!  It is a little comforting to know that no matter who you are you will experience some setbacks.

Anyway, I hope you take a minute and read her list of ten!

It was my sincere honor to interview Richard and write about the experience. He’s been one of my mentors for a long time and to meet and interview him was an experience I’ll never forget. Thanks again for sharing the post.

    Big hugs to you,

    Gail
